New Sketchers – Friday city
Introduction to watercolour
Watercolour introduction is always a great class where we move from aquarells (colour pencils) and waterbrush to our paint kits.
Mixing paint and applying to rocks using chinagraph and getting some great ‘blooming’ results. Erin attended the class and gave some great tips on how to apply this to first watercolour tree then we dodged the rain up to the Cavalier Tavern.
New sketchers – Devonport
Water and sea and introduction of waterbrush and first time getting out and capturing sea vistas.
Using the waterbrush to (selectively) enhance our aquarelle pencil drawings. Observing the importance of thumbnails then down to sketch looking back at North head followed by a coffee at Platters café. Remember to use the waterbrush sparingly, practice makes progress.
